# Cometto with the next mission for the Naval Group

Four 6-axle units from the SPMT range go into action immediately.

As industrial contractor, designer and overall integrator of whole warships and combat systems, the well-known **Naval Group** is an international player in naval defense.

Thanks to the knowhow of ten production sites in France, Naval Group builds a unique range of products and services for each **navy**. Within this high-tech environment, **four 6-axle units from the [SPMT](/products/modular-systems/spmt-self-propelled-modular-transporter/)range by Cometto** go into action immediately.

### SPMT for heaviest missions in Cherbourg

They are foreseen for the Naval site in Cherbourg in the northwestern French department of Manche. Thanks to its modularity and **payload capacity of 48 tons per axle line**, these self-propelled modular transporters offer the ideal transport solution for heaviest missions.

The electronic steering system guarantees maximum maneuverability and precision through a +135 / -135 ° steering angle.

Two 129 kW Powerpack Units and a set of accessories completes the extensive delivery. This order is the continuation of the trustful cooperation between Cometto and the Naval Group.

### The next step in the collaboration

In the past, three 2-axle versions of product type **Eco1000** have already been delivered. These self-propelled units offer a **compact structure** due to their Power Pack under the loading platform.

It’s an ideal tool for workspaces with less maneuvering space. An outstanding fact at Cometto: there are three different Powerpack technologies available within the [Eco1000](/products/modular-systems/eco1000-self-propelled-transporter-in-plant-jobs/)range: diesel, hybrid – unique on the market - and electric as chosen by the Naval Group.
