# A 340 tons transformer through Italy

This project includes the transport of a transformer on a 10-axle 4-file combination from its self-propelled fleet SPMT by SIMI.

**SIMI Trasporti** is the specialist for exceptional missions with particular challenges.

This project includes the transport of a **transformer** on a 10-axle 4-file combination of its self-propelled **SPMT** fleet by Cometto.

The task was the transport from transhipment plane to Terna power plant with the help of this self-propelled unit before positioning the item on a permanent stall.

SIMI was established in 1975. Business activities initially focused mainly on large public works, but these were gradually integrated with significant participation in **oversize loads**.

Over the last decade SIMI has set its sights to an increasing extent on foreign markets, acquiring “Door/Door” projects in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
