# Blade lifter mission through the forests of Japan

The number of wind turbines is also growing steadily in Japan. Achiha Co., Ltd. from Osaka has plenty of experience in this area of activity.

One of the projects is in Miyazaki Prefecture in southern Japan. **Achiha** uses the [BladeMAX650](/products/modular-systems/blademax-blade-lifter-wind-turbine-blades/)variant to transport the 50 meters long **wind blades** over a distance of 30 kilometers.

“Particular challenges are the narrow streets, steep gradients and the large number of trees and power lines,” is how those responsible at Achiha describe the field of operation.

The representatives of **Bando Motor Industry Co., Ltd.**, who brought the BladeMAX650 to the customer as a Cometto sales partner, also make it clear: “Without such a technology, the project would probably not have been possible.”

But this opens up **new possibilities** for Achiha. “Since we can raise the BladeMAX650 up to 84 degrees and move it around its own axis and sideways up to 20 degrees, there is no need to fell trees or lay power cables.
