# Cometto BladeMAX650 and Faymonville ModulMAX AP-M: A winning combination for wind blade transports

On the island of Ikitsuki in south-west Japan, there was recently a world premiere to marvel at.

For the first time, a [Cometto Bladelifter](/products/modular-systems/blademax-blade-lifter-wind-turbine-blades/) type BladeMAX650 has been used in combination with a [Faymonville ModulMAX type AP-M](https://www.faymonville.com/products/modular-trailer/modulmax/). It was the maiden voyage for our Japanese customer **Jousai UnyuKiko Co., Ltd**. that has received this impressive combination via our official Japanese partner **Bando Motor Industry Co., Ltd**.

Company Jousai is a key player in Japan for renewable energy projects. To handle the final transport step of **wind blades** to their installation site, the experts opts for this powerful BladeMAX650 with a modular ModulMAX AP-M.

### Maximum maneuverabilty 

A bladelifter allows to pass the blade with the necessary **maneuverabilty** in difficult areas with less space. The adapter by Cometto permits raise up to an angle of almost 90°, swivel and rotate by 360 degrees the blades around their own axis. A third vertical rotary axis has been integrated, additionally enabling a lateral swivel angle of 20 degrees. The operator has the necessary flexibility to adapt the position of the rotor blade according to the situation.

### Safety is crucial

For a **maximum safety** with these long freights, the [BladeMAX650](/products/modular-systems/blademax-blade-lifter-wind-turbine-blades/)relies on its **patented tilt kinematics**. Thanks to this levering device, the position of the centre of gravity remains constantly stable. And the stability control system collects all safety-relevant data from diverse sensors and sends them to the central control unit. The operator has everything at a glance and monitors safety. Besides BladeMAX650, there also BladeMAX800 and BladeMAX1000 as additional product types within this Cometto series.

### AP-M for three modes

The **AP-M** principle describes a 3,000 millimetres wide module that combines the supporting assist mode with the self-propelled mode and the classic trailer mode. The motorized axles of the ModulMAX can be engaged and disengaged at any speed. The modules build up on a dual-link patented suspension system allowing a perfect spread of the forces and bending moments. Another strengths are the 650 millimetres stroke and 45 tons payload capacity per axle line.
