# In-plant moves with Rubiera’s Eco1000

The Eco1000 is a success story and with the Italian company Rubiera Special Steel SpA, another new customer is using this self-propelled modular transporter.

The 6-axle vehicle has an **integrated** [Power Pack Unit](/technology/high-performance-power-pack-unit/), which results in a very compact design.

With a loading deck length of 11,600 mm, Rubiera will use it to move different loads within its daily production work. This Eco1000 has a width of only 2,430 mm, which makes it very maneuverable within factory sites. The loading height of 1,500 mm can be adapted thanks to the 700 mm stroke of the **proven pendle-axle technology**. Finally, 264 tons of payload capacity allow Rubiera to add an effective transport solution for its in-plant moves to the fleet.

### Cooling container and ingots on the Eco1000

Some first missions have been handled successfully. A slow cooling container has been loaded on a specific pallet and the inside content is a multi-faced ingot of 130 tons. The total weight of this cargo loaded on the [self-propelled modular transporter Eco1000](/products/modular-systems/eco1000-self-propelled-transporter-in-plant-jobs/) reaches 175 tons. Another mission is the transport of two round hot ingots with a weight of 63 tons carried on a refractory base of a slow cooling container. These items with a special loading structure weigh approximately 98 tons altogether.

**Rubiera Special Steel** was the first Italian steelworks company to introduce the vacuum degassing process on the market. Since then, it has specialized in the production of high integrity steels, offering a wide range of products in any type of high quality steel.
