The German company MAXIKraft Kran- und Schwertransportlogistik GmbH from Herzberg/Züllsdorf has invested in its transport capacities and acquired twelve axle lines of self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT) in the 48-ton payload class as well as a 202 kW Power Pack Unit from Cometto. With this step, another renowned German crane company is relying on the expertise and technology of the well-established specialist for self-propelled transport solutions.
“In order to handle complex projects from a single source, the decision for Cometto SPMT was unavoidable,” explains Maik Kanitzky, CEO of the MAXIKraft Group. Cometto also welcomes this new partnership, which once again highlights the ongoing development within the industry. “It has been confirmed once more that every strong crane company sooner or later needs to complement its business with modern horizontal transport technology in order to fully leverage project synergies,” says Joachim Kolb, Sales Manager at Cometto. After driver training, the equipment was immediately dispatched to a construction site in Magdeburg, where it was used for a pilot project to move a 230-ton gas turbine.
The MAXIKraft Group brings together five companies – MAXIKraft, Maximum GmbH, Kranlogistik Sachsen, Kranlogistik Lausitz and Treffler GmbH – with a total of 23 locations across seven federal states. More than 200 mobile cranes and around 70 heavy haulage units are in operation every day for challenging lifting and transport assignments. And now, a new addition to the fleet: twelve axle lines of Cometto SPMT, marking another forward-looking step – propelled to the MAX!
We wish them safe travels and every success with this new technology.
