SPMT for heaviest missions in Cherbourg
They are foreseen for the Naval site in Cherbourg in the northwestern French department of Manche. Thanks to its modularity and payload capacity of 48 tons per axle line, these self-propelled modular transporters offer the ideal transport solution for heaviest missions.
The electronic steering system guarantees maximum maneuverability and precision through a +135 / -135 ° steering angle.
Two 129 kW Powerpack Units and a set of accessories completes the extensive delivery. This order is the continuation of the trustful cooperation between Cometto and the Naval Group.
The next step in the collaboration
In the past, three 2-axle versions of product type Eco1000 have already been delivered. These self-propelled units offer a compact structure due to their Power Pack under the loading platform.
It’s an ideal tool for workspaces with less maneuvering space. An outstanding fact at Cometto: there are three different Powerpack technologies available within the Eco1000 range: diesel, hybrid – unique on the market - and electric as chosen by the Naval Group.
