6 blocks, 63,781 tons - what an impressive move of ship puzzles!

An outstanding mission for the Cometto SPMT fleet.

Shipbuilding includes the assembly of components weighing several tons. This mission involved 63,781 tons.

Since the single unit FPSO ship is so heavy and huge, it is a large load-out project in which a total of six blocks are divided and transported, and then final welding is completed on the floating dock to complete a single FPSO ship.

The self-propelled Cometto SPMT have been combined in different configurations to move the six Tera blocks, from 288 to 360 axle lines per job.

It was at Samkang S&C Co., Ltd (SK ecoplant Group) in Goseong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, Republic of Korea, where this high-end challenge has been executed.

Samkang S&C outsourced the load-out transportation project to KCTC, and the transportation company proceeded with Cometto’s MSPE EVO2 vehicles from three companies Global, Daemyung and Anjeon.

The FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Off-loading) is a Barossa FPSO offshore plant project in which Singapore BW Offshore participates as a developer

The final ship unit has a main deck length of 340 meters with a width of 64 meters and a height of 31.5 meters.
