The famous quote from “The Three Musketeers” is not only lived within the Hagedorn Group and continuously brought to life, but is now also impressively reflected externally through the latest expansion of the Cometto SPMT fleet. Wherever close cooperation, trust and mutual support shape everyday business, strong synergies emerge – and these are clearly reflected in this latest investment.
Since December 2025, Eisele from Maintal, a long-standing and valued Cometto customer, has officially become part of the Hagedorn Group. “Prior to this, Eisele was already operating 20 Cometto SPMT axle lines, two power packs and a 500-ton turntable set,” reports Joachim Kolb, Sales Manager at Cometto.
Creating strength through synergies
To further increase capabilities in heavy haulage and complex special projects, an additional 16 Cometto SPMT axle lines and two powerful 368 kW power packs have now been ordered. “This significantly enhances our performance for demanding heavy transport projects,” explains Julian Schmidt, Managing Director of Wasel in Bergheim.
This investment clearly demonstrates how closely connected the companies within the Hagedorn Group are and how strongly the individual entities benefit from one another. These synergies create integrated transport solutions that can be executed reliably, safely and on schedule.
Mastering downhill challenges
“With this expansion, the cumulative payload we can move with our own equipment increases to a total of 1,584 tonnes,” adds Rocco Schimmel. “In addition, the two new power packs are being specially prepared for our requirements so that we can operate a side-by-side SPMT combination with high payloads on long and steep downhill routes and, above all, brake it safely. This already sets the course for a historic project that we will successfully complete this autumn.” What exactly that project will be? More on that soon.
Founded in 1997, the Hagedorn Group is headquartered in Gütersloh and is active in demolition, disposal, civil engineering, heavy haulage logistics, revitalisation and digitalisation. Across more than 30 locations in Germany, around 2,500 employees operate over 1,000 specialised vehicles and heavy machines.
