For the Nordmark company in Cuxhaven, the new 2-axle Eco1000 has rapidly become an ace up its sleeve for in-plant transport processes. "This self-propelled vehicle is the indispensable universal tool within the transport chain", emphasises logistics employee Dennis Schröder. "Here, we transport the components, which weigh up to 80 tonnes, as simply and efficiently as with a wheelbarrow from the warehouse to mechanical processing and back – or even further 'over the dam' to our end customer."
The handling of the Cometto Eco1000's radio remote control is very easy to learn. Operators need only a very short time to familiarise themselves with it. "The vehicle is delivered 'ready-to-play'", adds Cometto Sales Manager Joachim Kolb, "and its high axle compensation of 700 millimetres enables loading and unloading entirely without a crane. The electronically steered self-propelled vehicle drives under the load, picks it up, moves it and sets it down again somewhere else – everything runs like clockwork."
The Nordmark Group also owns plants in Saeby and Skagen in Denmark, as well as Cuxhaven in Germany. As a supplier of rotor hubs, nacelles, machine supports and bearing housings, it is an important partner for the wind power industry. Nordmark is a highly technologized company with roots in North Jutland and specialises in the mechanical processing of large, machine-made workpieces.
