A 3,000 tons patrol ship in Korea on 96 Cometto SPMT axle lines

The South Korean shipbuilding industry is leading in the world.

No wonder to see their regularly spectacular moves of new vessels and boats. South Korean customer Anjeon Enterprise Co., Ltd.  transports this 3,000 tons patrol ship on 96 axle lines of self-propelled heavy duty modules Cometto MSPE EVO2.

The impressive ship was moved from the shipyard of SamKang M&T in Goseong to the floating dock over the distance of approximately 300 meters. The contractor for transport is Anjeon Enterprise Co., Ltd. They use 96 axle lines of Cometto MSPE EVO2 divided into 16 6-axle units of MSPE EVO2 6/4/2.43. This product type has a payload capacity of 60 tons per axle line. As support accessory, four Power Pack Units and two spacers are added.

The vessel manufacturer is SamKang M&T Co., Ltd. has built this patrol ship for the Korea Coast Guard (KCG) in Namhae. This ship replaces the original Jaemin Patrol Ship No. 1, which was built in 1988 by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering. It is now outgoing after 32 years of service. One of the special features is that this new patrol ship is the first one in Korea that includes an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
