Low temperatures during a 1,000 tons move in Russia

Russian company TopKran transports a block weighing 1,000 tons with a Cometto MSPE self-propelled modular combination including a total of 60 axle lines.

TopKran is doing the lifting and transport operations for Renaissance Heavy Industries - NOVATEK's general contractor for the construction of the Arktik LNG2 plant and is working in Murmansk with Krondex, the building contractor.

The Krondex plant is carrying out preliminary assembly of technological steel blocks of the topsides of modular platforms for future floating plants of the Arctic LNG-2 project.

The blocks weigh up to 1,000 tons and are transported by TopKran with a Cometto MSPE combination including a total of 60 axle lines with a payload capacity of 48 tons per line and two big Power Pack Units suitable for low temperatures.

All Power Pack Units have been designed and tested under the hardest conditions. They represent the cutting edge of technology and offer the highest performance and efficiency either in cold arctic conditions or in the dry desert heat.

The electronic steering of the self-propelled modular vehicle SPMT guarantees maximum maneuverability and precision through a +135 / -135 ° steering angle.
